These pictures were made by a man in Magee, MS where the eye of the storm passed thru- what an experience. Magee is 150 miles North of Waveland, Mississippi where the Hurricane made landfall. The dance with Katrina, part of her beauty as she left destruction on her exit. They are remarkably dramatic…

West Point Lighthouse marks the north end of Elliot Bay which leads into Seattle. I was at this location back in March when the sun was setting further south. This is when I met my Flickr friend Jason (surrealize). We were both shooting pictures, Jason with his nice DSLR and I with my “Point and Click.” He introduced me to HDR photography. When he posted his capture of the lighthouse, I was blown away and “INSTANTLY” outgrew my “Point and Click” camera!

This is a hand held three shot, +2,0,-2 exposure, while the ferry was traveling to Whidbey Island. Absolutely stunning summer afternoon on Puget Sound. The other two buildings, on either side of the lighthouse, are the Keeper’s and Assistant Keeper’s living quarters.
